I have been a teacher for four years now, three of which have been at Rogue Valley Adventist Academy (RVAA). These last four years have been interesting ones and some experiences preferably left to never repeat themselves. Although, it goes without saying each year has had its very memorable experiences that will be treasured for years to come.

If you ask me about RVAA, I will tell you that it is a growing school that has a great history here in the valley. I will tell you that it is a school I am proud to be a part of. I am fascinated by the caliber of students that it has filling its classrooms. I am impressed by the experience of my colleagues. Most of all, I am proud of the spiritual emphasis that has changed the kids lives. It is not every school that can say it graduates students who positively impact the community around them and are prepared to make a difference in this world in preparation for the next.

I went to school Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska for the majority of my post high-school education. I also took classes at Walla Walla Community College for a term and a class at both the Southeast Community College and University of Nebraska. Since graduation in May of 2004, I have continued to take classes every summer or at sometime during the year. I have attended Portland State University, Portland Community College, Oregon State University (Go Beavers!), and Rogue Community College. Through all my education I have learned a lot of concepts on a variety of subjects, but one concept I hope to never forget is that life is a learning process and one must always strive to learn continually. To stop learning is to give the mind a death sentence and to forfeit one of the greatest assets one has to navigate this life's journey.

My little family of four was completed when my daughter, Abigail, was born in August of 2007 joining my wife, Amanda, my son, Isaac and myself. I thought it was just yesterday that I was graduating from college and looking for my first job. Yet here I am four years later with a family of four and a job I love. It's interesting how fast life carries you along and before you know it you're getting gray hair and enjoying retirement (not that I would know about retirement, but so I've heard).

For some random facts about myself, let's see. Hmmmm. Well, I've lived in three different countries five different states and never lived in the same place for more than six years. I enjoy eating. Don't bother asking me what I like for desert because chances are I'll ask for another helping of the main dish. I have no favorite food because I find that most are uniquely and equally appetizing. Things I like do seem to be the things I don't get to do very often unfortunately. I enjoy playing a variety of competitive sports as well as some recreational ones like rock climbing and camping. Also, being the techy nerd that I am I enjoy playing computer games and living vicariously through the characters in the games I play.
