Some of the kids call her Judy Moody (not because she is moody of course). Others call her Mrs. Judy Wood. The one name she hates being called is the “cafeteria lady”, but she is exactly that. Judy says that being the cafeteria lady has never felt like a job, instead it is like cooking dinner for her family. Each and every student is close to her heart and she enjoys each student in his or her special ways. Among the students, three of them are her own: Jordan, Sande, and Rylee Wood. Jordan and Sande will be graduating in June and Rylee has just started her seventh year. Judy is very thankful that all her children have had the privilege of attending RVASA all their lives.
Judy has been involved in many of the school’s programs throughout the years, one being a Home and School member for 6 years. Working in the kitchen feels like another volunteering job, in which she gets paid for. Judy depends on her friends who volunteer in the kitchen to help her smell the food, as she has no sense of smell.
Judy comes from a family of five kids. She loves to be creative at times, doing knitting, cross-stitch and sometimes scrap-booking. She is also the world’s best shopper. You will also find her with a book in her hands. If you don’t see a book in her hands, she is usually with a friend. Her happiest time of all is spending time with her family and friends.
